Once a month, the Science Fiction Romance Brigade’s showcase enables the brigade’s authors to highlight snippets from new works, WIPs, cover reveals or other fun things.
My fun thing for today is a “travel poster” for my most recent science fiction romance: Rescuing Prince Charming. I’ve done travel posters for my other books, too, based on the posters NASA/JPL created for the exoplanets they’ve discovered.

Rescuing Prince Charming: A Native American sci fi romance
She’s no heroine. He’s no Prince Charming.
Dusty Johnson, a self-styled ordinary, everyday woman, responds with extraordinary heroism when saboteurs try to bomb the prototype of Earth’s first starship. Although she yearns to return to anonymity, that moment of courage propels her ever deeper into dangers that tear the scabs off her secrets—and thrust her into the arms of the unattainable man of her dreams.
Reese Eaglesbrood, an alien prince, yearns to restore his tattered reputation by guiding the starship project to completion, but his fascination with the unassuming heroine threatens to undermine his fragile authority. Shunning Dusty is necessary, yet unthinkable—and when the saboteurs strike again, she is his only ally against Earth’s most elusive enemies.

? Maybe I don’t understand, but I don’t see any poster…
Maybe Effing purloined it.
Yeah, let’s blame Effing. That’s better than blaming me for not finishing the post on time. 😦
That Effing is a case, isn’t he! ;0 Love the poster and ‘Rescuing Prince Charming’ sounds like a wonderful read!
The reason this post was late is that I’m learning my way slowly around a different graphics program. I’m not really satisfied with the lettering on this poster, but at least I managed to complete it.
Cool post!
Thanks, Cathy!
NASA tourist posters are great resources.
I like how you matched your stories to their images.
I agree. NASA’s posters are such a great way to humanize exoplanets and make them seem real.
Travel posters– what a clever idea! Your Prince Charming sounds intriguing.
Travel posters are particularly apropos for science fiction, I think.
Tourist posters are a wonderful idea. I think I may steal it if you don’t mind.
For a slight fee, I don’t mind at all! 😉
Way cool idea, and I think your execution of it is outstanding! I followed your link (to JPL). I’d never before seen those posters. Thanks!
It takes a bit of graphics know how and a bit of time, but I enjoy creating these things.
This is a fantastic idea. It might fun do to a travel blog for each planet–what to see and do, how to get around, foods to try, dangers to avoid. I had a map done for a PNR series, but I may actually do a travel series for my SFR series, as it will take place on several planets.
I agree, it’s a great idea for people like us who write science fiction. I give all the credit to NASA/JPL, because they inspired my travel posters.
